    you might also look into the 05 r6 triple clamps, those can bolt up to the newer r6 forks, and they might be more compatitble with the fz6r than the 08 triples i used.

    no, the r6 forks require a 50mm triple clamp, the fz6r is only 41mm. You couldn't really machine enough out of the stock triples and make it safe. The only route is going with the entire r6 conversion.

    sorry to bug you i have a dumb question... could you have used the stock fz6r stem and r6 forks? just to skip the machine shop step in this ? thanks
