Do you think the regular 50mm clip-ons will work? Or will they be too low and hit the tank?

Surely not hit the tank. Look at the detail of this photo:

But the regular clip-ons look to sit lower than the riser ones you have. Yours have plenty of clearance but I'm wondering about the other ones.

indeed. i'd like the bars lower, more like a supersport. At 6' tall i feel like my arms are a bit compact?

Yea that's why I'm interested in the regular clip-ons too. I'm just not sure is they would clear the tank though.

Not just the tank, they wouldnt clear the fairings I believe. These ones that he has though are HIGHLY adjustable to pretty much any position you can imagine. So you can flip them, rotate them, anything.

but even with all of the adjustability...is there really that much more you can do other to set them down any lower? even a half inch?

I'm more concerned about having to raise the forks in the clamp(lowering front end) so the clip ons will attach.

Regular clip-ons will not clear the fairings or the tank.

JnT4Life -- The riser clip-ons install under the top triple, so you won't need to raise the forks any. However, guido did install his over the top triple. But they were designed to go underneath.
