Default Power source for heated grips

Has anyone found an unused ignition switched power lead on the bike? My last bike, an 06 V-Strom had an unused lead under the tank for heated grips.

I wanted a switched source, not a direct battery hookup. I also would prefer not to get involved wiring a relay unless I really need to.

Thanks,
Brad

Not that I saw... I put in a relay for my heated grips. It's really easy to wire in a relay.

I guess if I got a hold of a wiring diagram, I might find a spare switched lead. I guess I'll go ahead and wire in a relay.

I saw this setup, but I can't really think of any other accesories I'd add to the bike to warrant it. I plan to add a 12 volt outlet, but I want that powered all the time as my GPS will be plugged into it.

I have the service manual, and threre are no extra circuits.

If anyone finds it useful, here's a relay wiring dirgam I posted a while back. The relay can be any generic 12V accessory relay (about $5-8) from the auto store or Radio Shack.
