Default HID Lights

My friend suggested I get some HID lights installed. Don't know a thing about them...

I know I want a blue color, not just a tint. Do I have to buy the whole kit? Or can I just buy the bulb? Also, would I have to aim the headlight lower?

Well there's already a discussion on the HID for this bike. Here's the web site that was mentioned on the other discussion: Motorcycle HID Conversion Kits

Yeah, I found it... HID or DDM was too short in the search box
So I just replace the bulb, hook up the new wires to the old one and find a place to mount the box?

Also DDM said their 6000 35W is on backorder...

You can go with the 55w and get even brighter.

i think the 55w would melt the small headlight housing the fz.

Lol! Would want to melt through cagers to go right through them in a emergency, just pop on your Hi Beams.

I just installed the DDM 5000K kit a couple weeks back. Looks spectacular. Wish I could verify the color temperature though. 6K will probably be as high as you'd want to go. Any higher, and my opinion is that visibility drops after that...

Yes, the challenging part is finding places to route everything.

4300k is as bright as they get, 6k is a nice color, 8k is blue, anything higher than 8k looks dumb.
