Default Clearance Clarence!

So i finally got my 2001 R6 Headers to fit. I dont' know if they are any different than the 02 and others that are used here on the forums.

I definately had to bend the headers to fit. The best method i found was to stand on the slip-on end of the pipes and place a floor jack handle section into the primaries and bend them up. This method can be tricky if you don't bend them all the EXACT same amount.

Here's an image of the bent headers clearance.

To continue , i just ordered my R6 D&D pipe. It won't be under the bike but it's better than open headers for now

So you're riding around with just headers?

Earplugs my good man! Earplugs. Not as bad as the open factory setup (cat removed, and straight pipe). The outlet is smaller.

Got the D&D pipe on. It sounds SUHWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

Still needs to be fixed up as it's rashed really bad and needs some endcap repair work. Nothing a rivet gun and mig can't handle!
