Default Fuel Guage and "F-Trip"

How far will the bike go (miles) after the gauge starts blinking and the "F-trip" starts counting? (appox)

Lots of responses/entries to this question previously. Those vary from range of 25 to 45 miles.

OK... don't laugh... I just filled up my tank for the first time Sunday evening. I got about 45 minutes to ride before dinner time. I was at about 125 miles with 1 bar left on my fuel gauge. When does this F-Trip thing start - after the last fuel bar goes away?

The last fuel bar will no longer stay solid. It will begin flashing. Once that last bar starts to flash, the F-Trip gauge will start counting miles.

I just got up to 165 miles before F-trip went on. I was amazed.

2 weeks ago I hit 50+ miles on F-Trip with .2 gallons to go on fill-up.

I think I'll keep it to 40 miles or less to refill, but good to know if I'm ever out on a desolate highway.

BTW, I get to 180+ miles before it flips to F-Trip, so it definitely is based on how you drive the bike and your overall MPG. Since I do mostly commuting miles, I don't high rev all that often and it keeps me around 50 MPG.
