Congrats Patricia! Nice ride!!

How was the "fit" with the lowering link installed? Glad to see you finally took it home.

I am happy to have it home. Last weekend we had snow to deal with. This week it is clear that spring is around the corner.

I am about 1/2 inch from flat foot. Not too bad for a short girl (wearing my new daytona height enhancing boot). The RT stand has more of a lean angle that I like however and I may remove it and use the stock stand - Lifting the bike from the lean is a little difficult.

As of last night I started to:

- Mud flap removal
- Sliders
- LED indicators and flush mounts

Ordering soon:

- 2brs exhaust
- PC
- Smoked Windscreen (TBD which one I go with but am open to recommendations)

Thanks!

Yeah I don't really like the RT Kickstand either.. it leans too low and sometimes I think I forget to set it down. Lifting it I became used to the weight now so it's no problem. Also I had trouble putting the stand down when I first got it, until I found out you can use the back end of your foot and put it in between the peg and the shifter.

Glad to see that you're starting your mods so fast, took me a couple weeks to shop around and finally decide what I want to do.

What dealer did you purchase it from. I recently bought one at Envy rides, same bike, they had a black FZ6R on the floor that had been lowered, wondered if it was yours.

A Raven one, but it looks black to me. I got it last weekend from Envy and rode up to the Forks of the Credit on Sunday from south Mississauga. A little cold on the hands, but otherwise a nice ride.

Heated grips are next. Looks like it will stay parked this weekend due to the weather.

no riding for me this weekend! Too much rain. But we need the rain to wash away the winter salt and sand.

The season awaits!

Default A new black FZ6R for me too!

Hi Patricia,

Not three hours ago I put down my deposit on a black '09 FZ6R at Kahuna Powersports in Toronto. I'm hoping you paid the same crazy low price I did. I didn't bargain at all, just asked them to match the clearance price that Snow City Cycle was asking, which was about $1800 below MSRP.

Enjoy the bike. I'll be out with an electric vest some time next week breaking in the bike.

I almost bought a used GS500! But the thought of more power, EFI and decent stock suspension really sold me on the FZ6R. I think I made the right decision.

I was fairly happy with my deal. I don't think they made much money on my bike but it is the second bike I purchased from envy in 2 years so I am sure ther will survive.

PM me if you want more details on the numbers.
