I've had a crampbuster on my bike for the past month. Went from Chicago to Mt. Rushmore and back with it -- and did an Iron Butt - Saddle Sore 1000 with it also.

I like it for what it is, a stupid piece of plastic that cost about 10 bucks and slipped over the handlebar in a minute -- and doesn't ever need adjusting.

I'd really like to get a Throttle Meister or lock at some point, but I'm not sure I'd use it enough to justify the cost. So for now, I'm sticking with the crampbuster -- and I'm plenty happy with it in the meantime.

I had a crampbuster and I hated it. The hand position never really seemed natural for riding. I had a bike it on the FZ6 and it worked well. I didn't like the way it looked so much and also didn't like the fact that the brace bar covered access to the kill switch. Thougt about throttlemeister, but it was kind of pricey and wasn't sure if engaging it would was as easy as it looks.

I used the Crampbuster on the Saddle Sore 1000 and it did work great. At that price point there is no competition for the Crampbuster.

After 1068 miles in under 24 hours, I can say that the Crampbuster isn't perfect, but it does work and costs a fraction of the price of the competition. Just my 2 cents.

I tried to use the caterpillar oring cruise control method, but it just wouldnt work. Was way too loose. Was only like $1 so I thought I would try it. There was too big of a gap between the grip and the bar end.

now there's a good trick for short-term resting of the arm..... might track down a big enough o-ring to give it a try.
