Default Cold Riding

I picked up a new set of gloves for this cold weather, they are rain proof and extend up my wrist much better. Don't ask me what brand, they were just what was comfortable and available at a local shop...
I'm warm down in the 30's with them on, but on occasion have noticed one hand getting cold as if I had nothing on... turns out, tightening the straps (either the wrist or further back "cuff") too tight, cuts off circulation and makes things worse. I've also noticed even if I have the straps somewhat loose, if the insulation isn't evenly distributed and "bunches" up around my fingers, I get the same effect.
Anyone else ever notice this?

As a side note, snow is melting off here in VA, but it's leaving a muddy mess. Since my drive includes about 200ft of "gravel road" before I hit pavement, my rides have been interesting, tires sink in about and inch or two and the bike weaves left-right as I'm riding.... it's so bad, wife even notices it in her van.

I had the same problem with my gloves when new. After wearing them, the insulation will form and crush down in places and take the tightness away...at least mine did. The only problem I have with mine is they only really keep my hand warm down to about 40-45 degrees. Once the temp drops below forty, my hands get damn cold.

I almost took my bike out last Sunday, but it was a bit cold. I need to get some better gloves like yours and some over pants.

The biggest problem I see is all the gosh darn sand all over the roads still. The last wind storm didn't even seem to get rid of it all.

It's supposed to be 53 this Sunday, so I might sneak out after I finish my homework.

Roads haven't been too bad, most the sand has made it's way to the edges. I've taken the bike in to work off/on for a couple weeks now. If it's below 32, I don't ride, or if there's a chance of snow, but as long as it's in the mid 30's or higher, I'm having fun. Not too many other bikes out there right now.

So I looked at them, they are castle gloves:

Anyone else hear of this company, good or bad? The gloves are getting better with each ride.
