Default Oil change and product test.

I will be "taking one for the team" or " biting the bullet" so to say.

I plan on changing my oil with Royal Purple and after a tank if gas I will give a review on before and after performance, engine temps and shifting. They really stand by their product and I'm really wanting to take it for a test run.

It will be a couple weeks but I will update when done and after the initial test.

I use Mobil One 10w40 full synth in both bikes, but have often wondered about all the hype of the more boutique oils. A lot of people swear by them and I'd happily spend the extra for better protection and increased performance...
Will be waiting to see your results and opinion... Thanks!

I am definitely watching to see how it turns out. I want to see if it really will make a difference.

Used the Yamalube on the 600mi oil change. Only thing the dealer had. Curious to see how this works.

Just one note.... almost all synthetic oils are going to do great the first day you put them in.

Another "test" will be to save the oil you take out (pictures, notes about it, etc.) and the mileage when you changed it. Then do the same with the royal purple.... then let us know this info as well.

The only true way to know anything for sure is to do an oil analysis on the new oil. They will specifically tell you what is in it and the condition of your engine by what they find in it. They can even tell you how much longer you can extend your oil changes. Its fairly cheap as well.

I've heard something from a mechanic friend of mine before saying how some companies hate royal purple that it would void their warranty or so on the bike if they found out that you used it or something...
