Default Locking Mechanism?

Hey guys,
I just got an 09 Raven 6R and the locking mechanism on the front forks won't engage. The key presses down like it wants to, but won't turn far enough to actually seat. This is the same for any bar position as I have held, gentle, pressure on the key and turned the bars from far left to far right.

Any help with this or am I already looking at having to buy a new mechanism?

RR

Bars need to be all the way to the left if you are sitting on the bike. Then wiggle them a little bit and the key at the same time. It will lock.

What the others have suggested is what works for me as well.

Just a little back from full left on the bars works for me.

ditto what everyone said above... i also put a little wd-40 on my key prior to inserting and that seems to help.
