Boy oh boy I feel a lot better after reading this thread...
I dropped mine last year, late in the season. I was stopping/stopped so its more like I layed her down on her right side (on my leg). The stock turn signal mostly protected my fairing - there are some tiny scratches from the asphalt but they look more like dirt, and since they're mostly in my graphics, you don't notice them until you're right next to the bike.
Very valuable lesson learned. Turning the front wheel makes the bike go down. Whooops!
(I was doubly pissed when I couldn't pick her back up by myself... I'm not that strong. I have since learned a better technique should anything this embarassing ever happen again...)
